Applied
The applied aspect of ABA therapy focuses on teaching skills that can be directly applied to everyday life. I collaborate with children to identify goals that are meaningful to their daily routines, such as improving communication, building social connections, or mastering self-help tasks. This approach ensures that the skills learned during therapy can be effectively used across different settings and situations.
Behavioral
The behavioral dimension emphasizes understanding and addressing behaviors through analysis and intervention. BCBAs evaluate and assess behaviors by examining their functions, triggers, and consequences. Using systematic observation and data, we develop plans to increase beneficial behaviors while reducing those that interfere with a child’s success.
Analytic
The analytic dimension highlights the importance of evidence-based decisions. Data collection, frequent assessments, and careful observation help determine the effectiveness of interventions. By continuously reviewing progress, therapists can adjust treatment plans to ensure that strategies meet each child's specific needs, promoting measurable success..
Technological
The technological dimension ensures that every aspect of therapy is documented in clear, precise detail. This consistency across sessions fosters collaboration between the entire caregiver team and ensures that proven methods are applied effectively.
Conceptually Systematic
This dimension focuses on grounding interventions in established principles of behavior analysis. Treatment plans are designed using evidence-based methods and research-supported strategies, ensuring that interventions are not only effective but also scientifically sound. By relying on proven theories, therapists provide high-quality care that achieves meaningful outcomes.
Effective
The effective dimension emphasizes creating meaningful and impactful change. BCBAs work closely with families, caregivers, and other providers to set goals that enhance a child’s quality of life. Whether it’s improving communication, fostering independence, or encouraging social participation, ABA therapy aims to deliver results that truly matter.
Generality
Generality ensures that the skills taught during therapy are applicable across various environments, situations, and people. RBTs focus on helping children transfer and maintain their learning in real-world settings, such as home, school, and the community, to ensure lasting success and independence.
